Hellcats vs. Putas del Fuego

Kate or Dye Kate or Dye TXRD would like to extend our gratitude once again and formally THANK the audience in attendance at our May 4th, 2008 event for their outstanding demonstration of love and support. As you all are aware, one of our beloved skaters, Kate or Dye, was injured in the third quarter of this truly intense match up between the Cherry Bombs vs. Holy Rollers. The result of her injury as indicated by Kate, when we spoke to her yesterday morning, is a humerus fracture! Kate has since then scheduled an appointment to see her orthopedic surgeon for details of the treatment that will follow and an estimated recovery time frame.

While we expect that she will make a full recovery, this injury will inevitably pose as a hardship to overcome for our "Katers". The donations that were made for her at Sunday's bout will surely assist her through this time. We can not thank our fans in attendance enough for the support they have shown our Kate or Dye.

THANK YOU TXRD FANS FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT!

At this time, if you would like to make a financial contribution to Kate , please feel free to use the Pay Pal account that has been created in her name. You may also e-mail: info@txrd.com and/or send checks or money orders to :

THE LONESTAR ROLLERGIRLS
TXRD--Lonestar Rollergirls is a skater-owned and operated sports and entertainment company based in Austin, Texas. TXRD--Lonestar Rollergirls promotes friendship and competition between determined, beautiful, unique and, most of all, tough women. Founded in 2001 by She-E-Os Anya Jack, April Herman, Heather Burdick and Nancy Lynn, TXRD has captured the public's attention and has quickly become a Texas favorite. In 2003, TXRD purchased an original banked roller derby track and has since been providing derby fans with a new twist on the original style of roller derby. In 2005, our league participated in the filming of "Rollergirls," a 13-episode television show that aired on A&E and chronicled the lives of a few of our skaters, on and off the track.

The Lonestar Rollergirls are excited to be a part of the nation-wide revival of all forms of derby, banked-track and flat-track, and we encourage derby fans new and old to check out a league near you! For more information on the Lonestar Rollergirls, please visit our About Us page. Please contact our PR department with any press-related inquiries
