Cheers to a New Year!
Shhhh, don’t tell anyone, but roller girls like to party, and with the New Year holiday right around the corner, there will be some partying to be had! We at TXRD want all of our friends and fans to have a fantastic holiday, celebrate like nobody’s business, and do it all while being safe
It’s no good to party if you don’t make it home safe so as to attend the next derby function. So we want to extend a helping hand to all those in derbyland who will be out Wednesdsy night. The city of Austin has some great resources available for anyone needing a ride home if they have had a little too much of that “adult beverage.”
Uber and Lyft are two ride share programs within our city, and why yes, TXRD just so happens to have a roller girl or 2 that drive for them! Be sure to download those apps prior to leaving the house so you have them on hand in those smart phones when you need them. AAA also has a great program available: for those a little more stubborn and don’t want to leave their vehicles behind, AAA will take you and tow your vehicle home. This program is statewide, so no excuses. 1800-AAA-HELP (1-800-222-4357).
