Dee Toxin — Manager of the Rhinestone Cowgirls
Some people say she stumbled onto a freight train in a drunken stupor one night, leaving Canada forever. Some say her alcoholic tendencies caused both her family and her friends to disown her. In all the legends, one thing is for certain: Dee had thirst for Canadian beer that could not be quenched. After sampling what America had to offer, she found that nothing compared to the brew of her homeland. She knew that she couldn't spend her life living in the past, so she decided to give up beer forever. Problem is the "cold turkey" thing didn't work out so well. Canadian beer would always be in her blood, and no matter how much she tried to put the memories of Molson and Labatt's out of her head, they would never truly go away. She fell off a red-eye flight into Austin one day in the middle of a six-week, cross-eyed bender and decided to stay. Unsatisfied with the beer in the Lone Star State, her BAC gets lower every day. As long as she lives in Texas, it seems she will forever be Dee Toxin.

Patty Hurts — Manager of the Rhinestone Cowgirls
Number: M16 Active Skater: 2004-2007
Just when you thought society was safe again…. in rolls Patty Hurts. You may remember her from her time skating with the Championship-winning Rhinestone Cowgirls in 2004-2006 and now that’s she been sprung from the slammer, she’s back to help coach her Sisters in ‘Stones in the ways of the wheel.
The daughter of magazine magnate and the great-granddaughter of a millionaire, Patty grew up skating through the empty ballrooms and marbled hallways of her family mansion. It wasn’t until, at age 19, she got restless and absentmindedly rolled out of her secure compound, down the street, into the neighborhood hole-in-the-wall and smack dab into a rowdy group of bedazzled badasses known as the Rhinestone Cowgirls. The Cowgirls took one look at Patty and – with bejeweled dollar signs dancing in their heads – promptly hog tied the little princess, threw her in the back of their blue Chevy, and high-tailed it out of town.
Back at the ranch, their initial plan was to hold Patty hostage for big bucks. But after a few dozen tequila shots followed with some Boones Farm chasers, the Rhinestones realized there was more to daddy’s little rich girl than just a pair of diamond-encrusted skates. Tougher than a rattlesnake, quicker than a jackrabbit, and sweeter than granny’s apple pie, there was no denying that Patty would make the perfect Rhinestone. And before she could say, “Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit,” Patty was strapping on the red, white and denim of the Rhinestone colors, ready to take to the track with the skater number #M16.
To this day, Patty occasional receives large checks in the mail from her estate, which she promptly cashes in for a few dozen rounds of Wild Turkey for the gals. She’s found her true home on the banked track of the Thunderdome and in the Sisterhood of ‘Stones.

Señor Miguel Hunt — Coach of the Putas Del Fuego
Formally known as TXRD's Referee Extraordinaire Mike Hunt, Señor Miguel Hunt is a longtime fan of roller derby and has, in a short time, gained a great deal of respect for some reason. Seriously, no one knows why. Some speculate it is some sort of magic or gypsy spell. Regardless, this inexplicable respect as a referee for TXRD led Mike Hunt to win the Best Ref in 2007. However, after Crybaby was voted captain of las Putas for the 2011 season, Mike Hunt recognized that his amazing knowledge of roller derby needed to be used to help bring las Putas back to glory. He retired from the TXRD Ref Crew in 2010, put on his black shirt and red bandana, and became las Putas' first male coach. His luck and magic somehow helped las Putas to a return to the playoffs in 2011, and led to winning 2011 Manager of the Year, becoming the first person to win Best Ref and Best Manager in TXRD history. His goals for las Putas in the 2011 season were smashing, crushing, and winning. Check. His new goals for las Putas in 2012 are to continue to be the cleanest and most fun team in the league -- but also to go ahead and win the freakin' cup. And smash and crush. BRING IT.
