TXRD would like to announce that we will be offering a LIVE pay-per-view webcast of the Rhinestones vs. Hellcats bout on February 17!  This trial run will be available at a discounted price of $10 and will have a limited number of cameras, but if it is a success then expect to provide much-improved webcasts in the future.  Please go to the online store now to reserve your spot for this event. 

The Lonestar Board Whores are pleased to announce that this Sunday they will be logging on and drafting their teams for the first season of TXRD Fantasy Derby, an activity in which the Whores will assemble our own All-Scar Armies. We will have the chance to manage our lineups and cheer on our teams as the season gets under way. Ten team managers have jumped up to take part in the fun, and they’ll compete in two divisions of five to see who can pick the team that will bring in the most points.

The All-Scar Army vs. Holy Roller bout recap page has been posted to the site.  From the homepage, click on scores and then click on “Video, Pictures, Recap, Flier, Stats” below the January 27 game.  On the game summary page you will find the original game flier, the press release, official TXRD photos of the event, scores, bout recaps, links to the forum discussion and play by play, the official stats, and fan pictures and videos.

Now is your chance to participate in the design of one of the team’s web pages! The Rhinestone Cowgirl’s are hosting a competition to see who can come up with the most creative/attractive header for their team page on the website.

The requirements of the header is for it to be 974 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall. You must also include in your design in that space 7 buttons for Home, About Us, Schedule, Store, Sponsors, Photos and Contact. Submit your design as a single image, I will slice the buttons on the winning design.

The contest will run for one week, and the Rhinestones will choose the winner.

The winning designer will also be asked to provide a recommended color scheme to complement their design for the background colors on the page. The header will be used on the team page and all of the Rhinestone player pages. The winning designer will be credited for their work and a link provided to the website of their choice.

If this competition goes well, then there is a chance that we can talk the other teams into having a contest for their headers as well. So even if you are a bigger fan of another team, please participate in this competition to wow the league with your Photoshop skills so that you will have a chance to design a logo for your favorite team later in the season.
