SEASON STANDINGS Y'ALL!
11.08.08
We've had a lot of questions about this, so we are letting everyone know the score.
Here are the game scores so far this season:
Rhinestones 88
Holy Rollers 23
Putas 50
Hellcats 41
Cherry Bombs 64
Holy Rollers 51
Hellcats 33
Rhinestones 44
Cherry Bombs 54
Putas 32
Holy Rollers 29
Hellcats 33
Rhinestones 62
Putas 46
Cherry Bombs 46
Hellcats 31
Here are the team standings, including number of losing points for the teams in question. Losing points are pertinent because, in the case of a three-way tie, the team with the most losing points has the higher ranking.
Rhinestones: 3-0
Cherry Bombs: 3-0
Hellcats: 1-3, 105 losing points
Putas: 1-2, 78 losing points
Holy Rollers 0-3, 103 losing points
So what this means is that both the Rhinestones and the Bombs are guaranteed a spot in the postseason, and the game between them will determine who plays in the playoff game and who advances directly to the Cup.
If the Rollers lose the game on Saturday, the Putas go to the playoffs with a 2-2 record. If the Rollers win, that leaves three teams with a 1-3 record. Win or lose, the Rollers can't move past the Hellcats, but if the Putas lose the game and still score more than 27 points (thereby accruing more losing points than the Hellcats), they advance to the playoffs.
